Eunice and Larry Morgenstern: Mindy Morgenstern Parents

Mindy Morgenstern was born to Eunice Morgenstern (Mother) and Larry Morgenstern (Father). Mindy Morgenstern was a university student, who was found dead in her house in Valley City in 2006.

Although Larry and Eunice had managed to build a good life for themselves in New Salem, North Dakota, they initially miss the joy of children.

However, Larry and Eunice still remember Mindy, and they said she was not only a hard-working athlete but also faith-driven, which is why Mindy wanted to become a sports coach, a missionary, or a physical therapist.

Despite everything that comes to light, Larry and Eurnice have actually forgiven the murderer, who proved his innocence until the end of his 2007 trial, for taking Mindy away from them.

Mindy Morgenstern Cause of Death

Mindy Morgenstern lived alone in the city of New Salem, where she went to Valley City State University.

Reports claim that on 13 September 2006, Mindy’s friends soon got worried as they were unable to reach her over the phone. Moreover, Mindy’s two friends decided to check up on her in person.

When they reached Mindy’s house, they found the door unlocked and walked in, unknowing of the horror awaiting them.

Inside, Mindy’s friends found her lying in a pool of blood on the floor with a belt wrapped around her neck.

The girls immediately called a neighbor who came there and helped them inform 911. Once police arrived on the scene, they declared Mindy dead, and an initial medical examination team indicated stab wounds as well as signs of a crucifixion.

Later, an autopsy was conducted that confirmed Mindy was suffocated and stabbed to death.

In fact, the stabbing was so brutal that the knife had broken off, and the knife’s blade was still stuck inside her neck.

Incidentally, the autopsy could find no proof of sexual abuse, and after a search of the crime scene stated that nothing was stolen from the house, including Mindy’s cell phone and purse, which lay beside her.

Who Murdered Mindy Morgenstern?

Mindy Morgenstern was brutally attacked by one of her neighbors named Moe Gibbs. He is a corrections officer at the Barnes County Jail. It was alleged that Moe tried to rape her, but when she fought back, he throttle her to death using a belt that made deep cuts to her neck.

The murderer Moe Gibbs was found guilty based on DNA reports, that were found under the victim’s fingernails.

Moreover, the murder investigation revealed that Moe had an extensive criminal background and he was behind multiple physical assaults.

Moe Gibbs was given a life sentence without the possibility of parole after a month. He was handed a supplementary 15 years in prison for physically assaulting inmates in the 2004 rape case.
