Lee Eink completed his schooling at Waukon High and St. Patrick Elementary in 2004. He played tight end for Upper Iowa University in Fayette and Loras College in Dubuque for three years.

2008 saw him graduate from Loras with a BA in sports management. Lee sold to Voss Distribution, located in North Liberty, Iowa. Mitch was the star of the high school football, basketball, and track teams.

Lee Eink Cause of Death

Mitchell Lee Einck, 26, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who was born in Waukon, passed suddenly on Sunday, September 16, 2012, at the UI Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. A scripture service will be held at the Waukon, Illinois, Martin Funeral Home on Thursday from 3 to 8 p.m. Donations to the Mitchell Einck Scholarship Fund may be made in lieu of flowers. Fr. Joseph Schneider will preside over the funeral on Friday, September 21, at 11 a.m. at Waukon’s St. Patrick Catholic Church. The burial will take place in Waukon’s Mount Olivet Cemetery.

In Decorah, Iowa, on January 17, 1986, Mitchell Lee Einck was born into the world to David and Nancy (Hackman) Einck. He grew up on a dairy farm north of Waukon. In the spring, Mitch wants to assist on the farm, just as his father did.

The high point of his senior year was playing for the first Waukon District Football Championship squad to qualify for the state playoffs. MVP candidate and member of the first team of the conference and second team of the state football teams

All conferences, Mitch, and the discus state track event make up the second volleyball team. Mitch was a fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes. A “movie buff” enjoyed doing household agricultural work.

Mitch went to see pals a lot to laugh and share his love. He loved spending time with his godsons, Ben and Luke, and playing games.

Dave and Nancy Einck, Mitch’s parents, reside in Waukon; brother Nathan (Debra) Einck is from Seattle, Washington; sister Tiffany (Sean) Merrick, who resides in Coralville, Iowa, and is the mother of Luke and Benjamin; brother Bryan (Kate) Einck is from Chicago; Paul and Betty Hackman, Mitch’s maternal grandparents, reside in Calmar, Iowa; and Kolbi, Mitch’s boyfriend, is from Waukon.
